Libraries to close

LIBRARIES between Helensburgh and Corrimal will be closed on Wednesday, March 7 with library staff undertaking a day of training.

Wollongong City Council’s library services manager Jenny Thompson said it is important for library staff to develop their skills and to discuss new directions in library services, such as social media, e-books and innovative customer programs.

Library chutes will be locked from close of business on Tuesday, March 6 and will reopen on Thursday, March 8. All items due to be returned on March 7 can be returned on March 8 with no penalty.

The libraries will reopen on Thursday, March 8 at the usual opening times. For more information call Council’s Customer Service on 4227 7111.
