‘Exciting, diverse and interesting’ student art on show

ARTEXPRESS, the dynamic selection of works from the 2011 NSW Higher School Certificate, will be closing at Wollongong City Gallery on August 19.

Wollongong City Gallery Coordinator John Monteleone said ARTEXPRESS represents the diverse works from young students from the state.

“These are exciting, diverse and interesting works from students who were sitting for their HSC in 2011,” Mr Monteleone said.

“This exhibition also shows the creativity in the city and region with 15 students from the Illawarra and South Coast included in this exhibition.”

The works represent a broad range of subject matter, approaches, styles and media including painting, photomedia, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, documented forms, textiles and fibre, ceramics, time-based forms and collections of works.
