SIX people have been taken to hospital after a head-on collision between two cars 5km south of Appin tonight.
The crash happened about 8.15pm (5 October) on Wilton Road, when a southbound vehicle, containing three men, and a northbound vehicle,with a family of four on board, collided.
Two men from the first vehicle and all family members, including two girls, have been taken to Liverpool Hospital.
One man from the first vehicle is reported to be in a serious condition while the other five escaped with relatively minor injuries. A seventh person, from the first vehicle, was shocked but not injured and was treated at the scene.
Wilton Road is closed in both directions with diversions in place.It’s expected the road will be closed for some time while officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examine the scene.
