Russell Vale man charged with drug offences

WOLLONGONG Police arrested and charged a 46 year old Russell Vale man late on Monday afternoon with a number of offences relating to the supply and possession of a prohibited drug.

Police located an amount of a white crystal substance and white powder. He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Court on the November 6.

In other police news, Wollongong Highway Patrol ran an operation over the weekend conducting over 1500 random breath tests in the area. These tests resulted in 27 PCA offences and a total of 56 traffic infringements issued for a variety of issues including vehicles being defective.

As the Christmas period approaches, police is warning motorists that these type of operations will continue.
