THE 24-year-old Berkeley man hit by a goods train at Coledale Railway Station about 1.30am on Sunday remains in intensive care with critical brain injuries.
It is believed the man was sitting with his legs dangling over the platform edge and his head slumped forward when the train hit him and dragged him about 20m.
Police said the driver sounded a horn 70m before the platform but was not able to wake the ”dozing” victim.
Family and friends were keeping a bedside vigil at St George Hospital where doctors said his condition had not improved on Sunday.
