POLICE have charged a man with high range drink driving after an incident at East Corrimal on Saturday night.
A black Nissan Skyline was travelling on Cawley Road when it was stopped by police for a random breath test about 8.45pm. Officers approached the vehicle before it drove off at high speed along Cawley Road and crashed into a blue Holden Vectra a short distance away. No one was injured as a result of the collision.
The 36-year-old male driver was arrested by police and taken to Wollongong Police Station where he refused to undergo a breath analysis. He was charged with negligent driving, refusing to undergo a breath analysis and disobeying a signal to stop for a breath test.
