POLICE are appealing for information into a robbery and are hoping someone might recognise a bag used during the incident.About 10pm on Wednesday May 8, a 59-year-old employee of Woonona Bowling Club on Greta Street, closed and locked the doors, when a man smashed the front windows with a sledge hammer. He entered the club and demanded money. The woman gave him cash and the man left.The man is described as 5’7” tall, thin build, aged in his early 20s, wearing a light coloured long-sleeved jumper, blue jeans, and white joggers. He was carrying a grey and black shopping bag.Wollongong police are appealing for information about the incident or for someone who might recognise the bag the man was carrying during the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
