Girl approached at Stanwell Tops

POLICE are appealing for information after a girl was approached by a man in a vehicle at Stanwell Tops.
The 13-year-old girl was walking her dog on Longview Crescent at 4.15pm on Tuesday when a man in a small car drove past a number of times.
The girl ran home and saw the car again at the end of her driveway.
The man yelled at the girl to get in the car. She ran inside her home and called her mother, who contacted police.
Wollongong police attended the girl’s home and commenced an investigation.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, unshaven, 20 to 30 years old and wearing a black hooded jumper with a navy blue high visibility reflective vest.
The vehicle is described as a small white hatch, dirty with black racing trim and roof racks.Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
