Balgownie service station robbery

POLICE are appealing for information after the armed robbery of a service station at Balgownie last night.A man armed with a knife entered the business on Balgownie Road about 9.45pm on Sunday, walking behind the counter and approaching the 26-year-old cashier.The man took cash and cigarettes before leaving the service station on foot. The cashier was not injured during the incident. The  police dog searched the area, but did not find the man.Wollongong police are continuing investigations into the robbery, and would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries. The robber is described only as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, and with a solid build. At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a black hooded jumper and blue tracksuit pants.
