POLICE are appealing for information after an elderly man was hit by a bus in Wollongong about 3.45pm yesterday (Tuesday).
An 82-year-old man was crossing the road at the intersection of Crown and Keira Streets, when he was struck by a bus.
The man was trapped under the bus for a short time, before being released and taken to Wollongong Hospital. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The 45-year-old female driver of the bus was not injured.
Police commenced inquiries into the incident, established a crime scene and spoke to a number of witnesses.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and who has not yet spoken to police.
