DETECTIVES are continuing with their investigations into the death of a man at Otford earlier this week.
The body of Jarrod Dark, 45, from Fairfield, was found in bushland at Otford early on Tuesday morning. He had earlier travelled to the location near Hell Hole beach with two men, aged 43 and 37, who he had met via social media. Those two men have told police they were forced to restrain Mr Dark after he became violent.
The pair left the man at the location before seeking medical treatment at Canterbury Hospital for head injuries they suffered during the altercation. They also contacted police about the incident.
Acting on the information, Wollongong police went to the remote location where they found Mr Dark dead.
A post mortem examination was carried out at Glebe Coroners Court yesterday. At this time, there is no determination as to the cause of death.
Police are continuing with their investigation and want anyone with information about the man’s death to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
