Corrimal car chase

THREE people have been taken into custody following a police pursuit at Corrimal this morning.
About 9am a shop in Coniston was held-up at gunpoint. No one was injured.
A short time later police attempted to pull over a Holden Commodore station wagon in Bellambi. It allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated that ended at Corrimal.
Two minor collisions occurred during the course of the pursuit, however there were no injuries.
Three people from inside the vehicle – two females and a male – have been taken into custody.
A five-year-old girl was also in the car. Family and Community Services staff have been engaged to ensure her welfare.
At this stage it is unclear whether the vehicle was linked to this morning’s robbery, however inquiries are continuing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
