POLICE are investigating after two children were approached in Woonona yesterday.
About 4.30pm on Thursday two boys, aged 5 and 9, were playing in the front yard of a home on Albert Street when a white square-shaped van, described as a late 70s/early 80s Volkswagen, stopped in front of the home.
Police have been told the driver spoke to the pair, before the boys’ mother walked out to the front yard. The man drove from the scene in a southerly direction.
Wollongong police were called and commenced investigations. As they continue their inquiries, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 60-years-old, with a grey beard, thinning grey hair and was wearing black-framed reading glasses.
