AUSTINMER’S rock pools will be closed from Monday February 16 for essential concreting and repair works on the area beneath the central concourse of the two pools, which is being eroded by wave action.
Wollongong City Council expects to complete the work, weather permitting, by Monday February 23.
Prior to Christmas, Council completed temporary work on this area of the rock pools to ensure that these popular pools could remain open during the busy summer period.
Following these repair works council will be seeking quotations to complete the outstanding works on the refurbishment of the two rock pools which are between 80 and 90 years old.
For more information call Council’s Customer Service Centre on (02) 4227 7111.
