Police have asked for assistance to identify this man who robbed an Corrimal East service station earlier this month
POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at a Corrimal service station at the beginning of the month.
A man wearing a bike helmet and armed with a large knife, entered the Pioneer Road service station at East Corrimal about 6.20pm on Wednesday June 8, approaching the counter where two employees, aged 25 and 28, were working.
The man threatened the pair with the knife and demanded money from the register. An amount of cash was handed over before the man left the store on a pushbike. He was last seen heading south on Pioneer Road.
The man has been described as being about 185cm tall with an athletic build and fair skin. He had his face covered with a black cloth and was wearing a dark blue ‘hoodie’ and long black pants.
Wollongong police are investigating the robbery and would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist with information. Police have released images of a man police believe may be able to assist with their inquiries and would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist with identification.
