POLICE have charged a man with an outstanding warrant and firearm offences after he was arrested at East Corrimal yesterday. About 4pm on Thursday, police went to Payne Road in East Corrimal in relation to an outstanding warrant. The 30-year-old man was arrested at his home and was taken to Wollongong Police Station where he was charged by virtue of the outstanding warrant. He was also charged with resisting arrest, two counts of assaulting an officer, and fire arm offences. He was refused bail, to appear at Wollongong Local Court today.
