TWO people have been charged in relation to an alleged break and enter at Woonona earlier this month.
Between 9.30am and 6.30pm on Monday 9 January 2017, a home on Mitchell Street, Woonona, was broken in to. Several items were stolen including electronic goods and cash.
Wollongong Police were notified and commenced an investigation. Following inquiries, about 8.30am on Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at a home on Collaery Road, Russell Vale. A number of items of property, believed to be stolen, and two cannabis plants were located and seized. A 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested at the located and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
The man was charged with break and enter, aggravated break and enter with intent to commit serious indictable offence and larceny. He is currenty beforew the courts. The woman was charged with receive/dispose stolen property. She has been granted conditional bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 14 February 2017.
