
INVESTIGATIONS are underway following a fatal crash in Helensburgh this morning.
About 2am on Sunday, emergency services were called to Walker Street following reports two vehicles had crashed. Whilst investigations continue, it appears a car has crashed into a parked and unattended Tipper truck. As a result a person has died at the scene.
A man, age not known, sustained multiple injuries and was treated by paramedics before being airlifted to St George Hospital.
Officers from Crash Investigation Unit attended to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Walker Street was closed in both directions while the scene was examined. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
