A MAN is before the courts after allegedly stabbing another man during a fight last month at Bellambi.
About 2.30am on Saturday May 26 two men were at a service station on Rothery Street, Bellambi, when they began to argue.
During the argument, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the chest by the other man, who then left the area. He attended Wollongong Hospital before being transferred to St George Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Wollongong Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Later that day, about 7.30pm, a 22-year-old man presented himself to Wollongong Police Station. He was arrested and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
