A MAN has been arrested after a woman was found dead at Woonona last night.
Emergency services were called to a Gray Street home about 11pm on Monday, after reports a woman had been injured.
Wollongong police and paramedics arrived to find an unresponsive 76-year-old woman, who was unable to be revived.
A crime scene has been established and Wollongong detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Two men, aged 55 and 24, accompanied police to Wollongong Police Station.
Following inquiries, about 11.10am today, the 55-year-old man was arrested at Wollongong Police Station, where he remains assisting with police inquiries.
