A WOONONA man, charged with the murder of his mother, has been refused bail after he appeared in Wollongong Court on February 20.
Boutros Mouawad, 55, has been charged with the alleged murder of his 76-year-old mother, Helen Mouawad, at her Gray Street cottage on Monday February 18. Police were called to the home about 11pm after receiving reports of an injured woman.
Emergency services were unable to revive the woman. While the forensic investigation into Ms Mouawad’s death could take months, Mouawad is expected to reappear in court in May.
