A MAN has been charged for allegedly sexually touching a patient at an aged care facility within a hospital north of Wollongong.
Police allege the incident between two patients, aged 80 and 89, occurred on Monday, August 26. The matter was reported to police and about 5.30pm yesterday.
Detectives went to the hospital and arrested an 80-year-old man, who was taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.
The man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Wollongong Local Court on October 8. The victim’s next of kin have been spoken to regarding the alleged incident.
