MOTORISTS are advised by the Transport for NSW of road closures on Appin Road for three days from Tuesday for essential maintenance work between Appin and the M1 Princes Motorway.

This work will include trimming vegetation and clearing gutters and drains as well as maintaining guardrails and signs.

The road will be closed in both directions between 9am and 3pm from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 September, weather permitting.

Motorists should plan their journey and allow up to 15 minutes additional travel time.

Motorists travelling between Wollongong and Campbelltown can detour via Picton Road and the Hume Motorway. Light vehicles can also use Broughton Pass between Appin and Picton roads.

Information about this and future road closures, detour routes and additional travel time, can be found at rms.work/srrc.
