TWO men have been charged after firearms and prohibited drugs were seized at Bellambi earlier today.
Wollongong police executed a Firearms Prohibition Order at the Bellambi home about 7am today (Thursday July 23).
During the search, officers allegedly discovered a firearm, ammunition, two gel blasters, methylamphetamine and a clear substance believed to be GBH. These items will undergo forensic analysis.
Two men – aged 42 and 44 – were arrested at the home and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
The 42-year-old man was charged with possess prohibited firearm, possess unregistered firearm and possess prohibited drug.
The 44-year-old man was charged with possess prohibited firearm, possess ammunition, not store firearm safely, breach Firearms Prohibition Order and possess prohibited drug.
The pair were refused bail and are due to appear in Wollongong Local Court tomorrow (Friday July 24).
Police investigations are continuing.
