A PEDESTRIAN has died after being hit by a truck in a car park at Corrimal earlier today.
Shortly after 10am (Monday October 26), Wollongong police were called to a car park on Railway Street, Corrimal, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a truck.
The pedestrian, a man believed to be aged in his 70s, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 27-year-old man, was treated at the scene for shock before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command.
Inquiries are continuing and anyone who may have witnessed anything is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
