Police appeal for assistance after ball bearings shot into Helensburgh unit block

POLICE are appealing for information after projectiles were shot into a unit block on Walker Street, Helensburgh, earlier this week.

About 3.30pm on Monday November 23, a woman reportedly heard a loud bang in her kitchen, which resulted in a small hole in her kitchen window. About 1.30pm on Tuesday November 24, a man returned home to a unit in the same complex, and found two holes in his dining room window.

Wollongong Police were notified and commenced inquiries. A number of silver ball bearings were found in the area near where the windows had been damaged.

As investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time, or who may have information, to come forward. Inquiries are continuing.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000.
