
A MAN has been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Balgownie earlier this year.
About 11pm on Monday August 17, a man, armed with a firearm, allegedly has demanded cash and threatened two employees at a licensed premises on Balgownie Road before escaping on a motorcycle and riding north on Church Street. No one was physically injured during the incident.
Following police inquiries, about 3.45pm on Monday December 7, a 32-year-old man was arrested at a home on Amaral Avenue, Albion Park and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station.
The man was charged with robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon, aggravated break and enter and robbery armed with an offensive weapon. He is now before the courts.
Inquiries are continuing.
