POLICE are appealing for the public’s assistance after a man was stabbed in Corrimal overnight.
The man was walking along Collins Street when he was confronted by about 10 people at around 11.45pm on Saturday (June 19, 2021).
A physical altercation has occurred, with the man sustaining a stab wound to his abdomen.
Paramedics treated the 18-year-old man at the scene, before he was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Wollongong police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. They are appealing for anyone with information – or mobile phone and dashcam footage – to contact Wollongong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
