
A MAN will appear in court today charged over an alleged stabbing at East Corrimal earlier this morning.
Police were called to a home on Birch Street about 6.15am today (Tuesday June 22), after reports a man had been injured after an altercation with another man, known to him.
Wollongong police attended and found a 51-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds to his back. He was treated by paramedics and taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
A 41-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court today.
