Heat wave prompts extended hours at Wollongong’s northern beaches

LIFEGUARDS will extend their beach patrol hours today (Friday January 18), to provide swimmers additional time to cool off safely. Beaches open for another swimming season

THE flags go up today (Saturday) on Wollongong’s 17 patrolled beaches, marking the start of the 2015-16 swimming season. The season will run until April 25 2016, with the peak time for beach goers falling between December 19 and January 25.
