THE Wollongong Botanic Garden is hosting two workshops this Saturday.

The first is a workshop where participients will learn about the birds of the Illawarra, facilitated by Martin Potter from the Illawarra Birders group. The workshop will be held at the Botanic Garden in the Discovery Centre and will include a presentation in the centre before an exploration around the gardens bird spotting.

The second is a guided bushwalk to Kelly’s Falls in the Royal National Park. This is a difficult and challenging walk and not for the faint hearted. Particpients will get to see off the beaten track beauty that the Illawarra has to offer with professional and experienced guides. The walk will begin at the Kelly’s falls car park off Lawrence Hardgrave Drive north of Stanwell Tops.
