THE Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce (NICC) approaches the busy end of year with fresh vigour as some new faces join the executive committee.
Re-elected as president Pauline Lacelles-Smith (Otford Pantry) is joined by Greg Watts of Helensburgh Post Office as vice-president.
“I am delighted to be re-elected president as the Chamber’s last 12 months have been extremely busy and rewarding and I look forward to keeping the momentum going this year.
“In this difficult business climate our small business community giving quality service and dedication to excellence in customer satisfaction is proving successful.”
Ronda Collins of the Centennial Hotel is minutes secretary. Glenn Lacelles-Smith (Otford Taxation Services) is secretary and will be assisting the Chamber’s regular meetings by sourcing speakers and presenters for inspiration, business insights and training opportunities.
Ray Khalil of Smartline Home Loans will organise the regular networking meetings, and is always on the lookout for new venues to host meetings.
Coledale resident Andrew Sheath is treasurer, a role which fits naturally with his business – Jim’s Bookkeeping.
Quentin Field of Ezypool Services in Helensburgh is media spokesperson for the new look business chamber. Joining the executive for the first time is Karen Harrang from Wombarra, Director at GTK Human Resources, who brings her technical know-how to the role of webmaster. Also joining the executive for the first time is Angela Fagerstrom from the Helensburgh and District Herald who has been appointed the new membership officer.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the NICC executive for the first time” Angela said.
“The NICC has provided my business with exceptional opportunities to meet potential customers and its member businesses stretch as far as the Wollongong CBD.”
