THIS week a purpose built café will be dropped-in to the entrance of Corrimal Beach Tourist Park. The café will have a large covered decking with seating for up to 40 people, similar to the café operating Bulli Beach Tourist Park.
Wollongong City Council is looking for a business person who can lease and run a café at one of the busiest beaches in the City. This new café is at Council’s largest Tourist Park, Corrimal Beach Tourist Park, adjacent to Corrimal Surf Club and Corrimal Beach.
Council’s manager of property and recreation Peter Coyte said a person is sought who will lease and run a successful café.
“We are hoping to attract a successful person who will lease one of the city’s best placed kiosks that will definitely attract customers from the busy beach, cycleway and Towradgi Park Playground as well as patrons from the Corrimal Beach Tourist Park.
“The lease is for a new and exciting purpose built café that offers a great opportunity. It will service the many visitors to the popular Corrimal Beach Tourist Park. It is in an area that has a ready made stream of visitors; it’s adjacent to a patrolled surf beach, with direct access to the well-used footpath and cycleway and it’s close to the popular, award-winning Towradgi Park playground,” Mr Coyte said.
“In short it offers a great opportunity for an enterprising person.”
Council is now calling for quotations for the lease of the facility. For more information visit www.wollongong.nsw.gov.au or Council’s eTendering portal at www.tenderlink.com/wollongong.
