SUMMER is in full swing and it’s the perfect time to make use of the outdoor fitness equipment in Wollongong’s Lang Park.

A ‘Come and Try’ session will be hosted by Wollongong City Council on Wednesday January 23 at 9am in the park where fitness leaders will show people how to use the equipment and answer any questions they might have. The ‘Come and Try” session highlights the range of activities for cardiovascular fitness and strength training the equipment provides.

Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery invites everyone to come and make use of the new equipment.

“Fitness is extremely important for health and wellbeing, and this initiative is part of our vision for Wollongong as a healthy and liveable community,” he said.

The session will also include the chance to meet a ‘living book’ and hear inspirational real-life stories of healthy lifestyle changes with results.

The Lang Park Outdoor Fitness Equipment ‘Come and Try’ session is on January 23 from 9 to11am near the children’s playground.
