POLICE have charged a man after allegedly finding child pornography in his Fairy Meadow house.

Wollongong police issued a searched warrant at the house shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday. A number of items were seized including computers and portable hard drives.

A 40-year-old man was later arrested at Wollongong Police Station. He was charged with possessing child pornography and publishing child pornography.

The man was given strict bail conditions to appear at Wollongong Local Court on February 14.
