POLICE have charged a man after he was caught allegedly filming up the skirts of a number of women in Wollongong last year.
On Monday October 15 a man was captured on CCTV using his mobile phone to allegedly film up the skirts of three women at a shopping mall on Crown Street. On Friday October 19 the man was again captured on CCTV in the same mall allegedly filming a woman while walking behind her.
Wollongong police were alerted attended the shopping centre and commenced inquiries.
On Wednesday December 12 police spoke to a 21-year-old Dapto man before seizing his mobile phone.
It’s alleged the phone contained footage of other similar offences. He was charged with four counts of filming a person’s private parts without consent; and two counts of behaving in an offensive manner. He was bailed to appear at Wollongong Local Court on February 12.
