A CYCLIST is in a critical condition after coming off his bike while riding down Bald Hill at Stanwell Park on Sunday.
Paramedics were called to treat the man, aged about 38, who had suffered a serious head injury during a cycling event.
First aid was given by a surf lifesaver before the man was airlifted by Rescue 23 ambulance medical rescue helicopter to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
