WORK will begin on the construction of a new lifeguard facility at Coledale Beach on May 13.
The construction of the patrol facility – to be shared by Wollongong City Council lifeguards and the Surf Club’s volunteers – will take place on the site of the present lifeguard building. This old structure will be removed to make way for the new facility.
Work is expected to be completed at the end of August. A builder’s fence will be erected prior to works beginning.
