A FAIRY Meadow man was among 11 people arrested following a protest at the University of Sydney about 7am on Wednesday.
Protesters gathered at the university in City Road Camperdown, setting up picket lines and blockading the main gate, causing traffic delays.
Police will allege the group also attempted to block roads near a primary school and pedestrian crossing, presenting a safety risk.
Officers arrested 11 people, with two people detained at the scene. Of the two people; a woman was issued a court attendance notice for hinder police, while a man was issued a court attendance notice for failing to comply with a move on direction, assaulting police and resisting arrest.
Among those arrested was a 38-year-old Fairy Meadow man who was issued a a criminal infringement notice for obstruction in a public place and assault.
