POLICE have charged a teenager after he allegedly threatened two people with a firearm at Corrimal.
About 4am on Saturday January 18, a young man went to a home on Eager Street, armed with a shotgun. He allegedly knocked and threatened a man and woman, aged 54 and 53, when they opened the door.
The young man tried to gain entry; however, the occupants managed to close the door.
On Tuesday police arrested a 16-year-old boy at a house on Whitby Mews, Bellambi. He was taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with a number of offences including special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence and armed with intent to commit indictable offence. The boy appeared at children’s court on Tuesday where bail was refused. He is due to re-appear in court on Monday February 24.
