A MAN has been charged after child abuse material was seized from a Balgownie home.
Following inquiries, and information received, Wollongong detectives searched a home on Chalmers Street on Monday.
Investigators seized a number of electronic items from the home. It’s alleged that child abuse material was found during forensic examination of the seized items. Following further inquiries, a 51-year-old man was arrested at Wollongong Police Station about 9am on Friday. He was charged with four counts possessing child abuse material and committing an act of indecency with child under 16. He was given conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on October 7.
