A REPORT is being prepared for the Coroner after the death of a woman at Towradgi last night (Thursday).
A 81 year old woman was leaving Towradgi Railway Station about 11.25pm, walking along the footpath of Towradgi Road when she has fallen to the ground.
A driver stopped to check on the woman’s welfare and while this was occurring the stationary vehicle was struck by a Mitsubishi sedan travelling in the same direction.
As a result of the impact, the Mitsubishi has continued on and the woman was hit. It’s understood the 20-year-old man who was driving the Mitsubishi may have tried to take evasive action.
