MAJOR asphalt resurfacing works will be undertaken on sections of Rothery and Murray Roads at Corrimal next week.
Wollongong City Council will carry-out the works to repair sections of the lanes which are failing due to cracks and potholes.
Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery said local roads get close scrutiny from the local community who report potholes and other issues to Council.
“It’s always helpful when we hear from our community about their concerns about road conditions and their comments are taken into consideration when Council is prioritising our upcoming works schedule,” Cr Bradbery said.

“Both Rothery Street and Murray Road had been earmarked for improvements as the condition of the road surface has deteriorated since the heavy rainfall and weather early last year. It’s good to see this work happening across July.”
