A MAN will reappear in court today, one of four people charged after an alleged aggravated break and enter at Bellambi earlier this year.

Five people allegedly forced entry into a home on Scobie Crescent, Bellambi, about 12.30am on Tuesday, July 18, threatening the occupant – a then aged 19-year-old man – before stealing a Honda motorcycle

As part of inquiries, police officers attached to the Surry Hills Region Enforcement Squad, searched a home on Lily Place, Lalor Park, in Sydney’s west, about 7.30am on Tuesday, July 18.

Three men – aged 18, 19 and 20 – and a 17-year-old boy were arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station. The 18-year-old man was charged with 13 offences including,

  • three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal,
  • Two counts of steal motor vehicle,
  • special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – weapon,
  • drive conveyance taken without consent of owner,
  • drive reckless / furiously or speed / manner dangerous,
  • police pursuit – not stop – drive at speed,
  • possess means of disguising face with intent commit indictable offence,
  • be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner,
  • take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, and
  • hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.

The man appeared at Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday 19 July 2023, where he was formally refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court today (Friday, September 15).

The 19-year-old man was charged with eight offences including,

  • aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal,
  • two counts of steal motor vehicle,
  • special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – weapon,
  • drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, and
  • be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

The man appeared at Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday 19 July 2023, where he was formally refused bail to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday October 4.

The 20-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were charged with four offences including,

  • special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – weapon,
  • aggravated break and enter in company steal,
  • steal motor vehicle, and
  • be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

The man appeared before Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday July 19, where he was formally refused bail to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday October 4.

The teen appeared at a children’s court on Wednesday July 19, where he was formally refused bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday October 10.

Police inquiries are continuing.
