Lawrence Hargrave Drive temporary road closure for resurfacing and repairs

MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on Lawrence Hargrave Drive for road surface repairs and investigation work at Stanwell Park, and drainage upgrades at Coledale.

This temporary road closure is required while asphalt patching is carried out to repair damage caused by storms in February this year, making the road safer for motorists.

Geotechnical investigations will also be carried out to help with planning work to make the road more resilient in future severe weather events.

Lawrence Hargrave Drive will be closed to all traffic between Railway Crescent and old Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park on Monday November 13 between 7pm and 4am, weather permitting.

A detour will be in place during this work via old Lawrence Hargrave Drive. For more information on the repairs, visit nswroads.work/lhd_repairs.

Work to replace drainage pipes just north of Coledale District Hospital will also start Monday November 13, and will be carried out for three weeks, weather permitting.

Work will be carried out between 9.30am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday.

During work single lane closures, stop/slow traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place.

Transport for NSW advises motorists travelling within these areas to allow up to 10 minutes additional travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
