MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on Mount Ousley and Picton roads while planned maintenance work is carried out.

Work will include vegetation removal, guardrail repairs, line marking and cleaning drains to improve safety.

The M1 Princes Motorway will be closed between Bulli Tops and Memorial Drive for one night on Sunday, November 12, weather permitting.

Heavy vehicles over 19m long will not be able to access Bulli Pass and are advised to delay their journeys.

Picton Road will also be closed between the M1 Princes Motorway and Almond Street, Wilton for one night on Sunday, November 12, weather permitting.

Mount Ousley Road will be closed in both directions and detours will be in place between 8pm and 4am. Picton Road will be closed in both directions from 7.30pm to 4am to ensure the M1 Princes Motorway is clear by 8pm.

Motorists travelling between Wollongong and Bulli Tops will be detoured via Memorial Drive and Bulli Pass and should allow up to 15 minutes additional travel time.

Motorists travelling between Wollongong and the Hume Motorway will be detoured via Memorial Drive, Bulli Pass and Appin Road, and should allow up to 40 minutes additional travel time. Light vehicles can also use Wilton Road (Broughton Pass) between Appin Road and Picton Road.

Motorists travelling to the Hume Motorway can also detour via the Illawarra Highway (Macquarie Pass).

Transport for NSW advises motorists to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.
