THE road between Bulli and Helensburgh remains closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area after a fatal crash at the bottom of Bulli Pass this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bulli Pass, Lawrence Hargrave Drive and the Princes Highway following a crash involving a truck and car just before 2pm.

The crash occurred at the northern end of the northbound overpass on Lawrence Hargrave Drive.

Police have confirmed one person has died and at least three people were taken to hospital, including a women in her 30s with head injuries, after the horrific crash.

Live Traffic NSW report that northbound traffic on the Princes Highway is queued from Park Road at Bulli, while southbound traffic on Lawrence Hargrave Drive is heavy from Austinmer.
