Changed traffic conditions on Memorial Drive at Bulli

MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions on Memorial Drive as ongoing maintenance work continues on the Farrell Road pedestrian bridge that spans over Memorial Drive at Bulli.

Work includes repainting the bridge and replacing the safety screens.

Work will continue during the day between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 4pm on Saturdays until Friday 21 June, weather permitting.

Memorial Drive southbound only will be closed for three hours tonight (Thursday 13 June) between 7pm and 10pm, weather permitting.

To complete this work, Memorial Drive in both directions will be closed for two nights on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 June from 8pm to 4am, weather permitting.

During road closures, detours for all vehicles will be in place via the Princes Highway and Bellambi Lane adding an additional five minutes to journeys.

Outside of road closures, 24-hour single lane closures will be in place in both directions and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place on Memorial Drive between Bellambi Lane and the Princes Highway at Bulli until work is complete.

Transport for NSW advises to allow five minutes additional travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

During and outside of work hours, the pedestrian bridge will be open intermittently. When the bridge is closed, detours for pedestrians will continue to be in place via Farrell Road, the Princes Highway and Molloy Street. Electronic signage will notify pedestrians when the bridge is open.

Pedestrians are advised to allow up to 10 minutes additional journey time depending on point of origin and destination.
