MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions next week at the intersection of the Princes Highway and Daisy Street, Fairy Meadow for traffic light upgrade work to be carried out.

Work will include replacing the traffic light posts, control box and installing CCTV to improve safety for pedestrians and businesses in the area.

Work will be initially carried out for two nights on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 July, between 7pm and 5am, weather permitting.

Work will then continue for one month from Sunday 21 July, from 6pm to 5am Monday to Thursday and from 6pm to 5am on Sundays, weather permitting. There will be no work on Friday and Saturday nights.

During work, single lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h and stop slow traffic control will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Traffic lights at this intersection will be temporarily turned off during work hours.

Transport for NSW advises motorists to allow five minutes additional travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
