LANDSLIP repairs are progressing at two Lawrence Hargrave Drive sites at Scarborough and Stanwell Park.

Transport for NSW work crews have almost completed excavating below the surface of the road at the Scarborough site to reach a stable base for the new road and footpath. In the coming weeks, the crews will begin to backfill the area and rebuild the foundations of the road and footpath.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Transport for NSW said designs have been finalised for repairs to the damaged section of road between Chellow Dene Avenue and Railway Crescent at Stanwell Park.

“We are currently planning the program of work for the site and have engaged several specialist contractors who will carry out key components of the work,” the spokesperson said.

“One of the first steps in the repair program involves relocating a high voltage power pole. We’re working closely with Endeavour Energy to develop a plan for the relocation and ensure this is carried out safely by specialist contractors when the plan is approved.”

Transport for NSW is managing an extensive program to repair more than 100 landslip sites across several key roads across the Illawarra and South Coast. This includes an extensive program to repair significant landslip damage on Bulli Pass and also completing designs for work at another landslip site on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park.
